Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry for the lateness, it has been almost a month since my last post, but last month was very busy for me.
I will start from what happened after last post; on the second of June my sister got her baby. I was taking care of her since she came here to Qatar. And because her husband doesn’t live here. Anyway She was going for a normal weekly checkup when the doctor surprised us that they have to get her baby out because he didn’t have enough food or Oxygen for the past 5 days, So she was admitted for an operation which she had few hours later. When they got her baby out, and put him in another room, I was there with mum, we run to see him. They were trying to save his life, anyway it was me, mum, the doctor and the nurse who was there in the room and every 5 minutes I was asking the doctor how is he?
So the doctor knew that we are very scared and he was trying to reassure us, then he asked me, are you his father? Without thinking I said: YES!, I really didn’t know what I said until my mum was staring at me and asked me why did you say yes! So the doctor and the nurse were staring also at me for a second then they all started laughingJ, when I corrected my self and I said No, I’m his uncle. I think my dream to become a dad can’t be that easy :-).
Anyway from that day and for 2 weeks they kept him there to make sure he is 100% ok before they send him home. And I was very busy with his mum to take care of her son. Two weeks later I got a call from Motorola Networks to start working for them as In Building Solutions Engineer. I was very happy because finally I will be employed again and I won’t stay at home anymore. I started last Sunday; the first day was very boring they gave me a manual with 749 pages to read! I kept reading and nothing else the first day!
When I reached home I was really thinking to send them my resignation by email :-), but I said it is always boring the first day at work. The following day was really amazing, I had a field visit to one of the sites which the company is working on, It is Aspire tower ( Doha Asian games 2006 tourch tower), I was very curious to know what is inside that building. The report that we have from Q-Tel says that it is the highest building in Qatar. So when I went there, I read quickly the report to know what is inside the building and how many floors there. It is 51 levels! And it’s an Athletes Hotel, It is not functionally yet because of the interior design is not done yet, but it should be done by the end of this year.
So I spent the whole day walking in that tower, I visited each level and walked in every single room J I reached the last level, the one under the tourch. And on that level I found 4 touch screen computers connected to 4 High resolution Cameras distributed around the tower, so you can see live Doha from any part you want! From the windows you can see Doha very clearly! It is very dazzling
Tower; I’m waiting till it is operating so I can visit it one more time.
The rest of the week was visiting different sites and having some office hours. The job is not the one that I was really dreaming about, but I’m just thinking to take the experience and get a better job.
In few hours I’m turning 23 years old, I started early to get birthday wishes, and I would like to thank everyone for that. I just knew from my friend that wishing someone before that actual date is bringing him a bad luck! But it is ok for me :-); I would like to ask everyone who wants to wish me, to wish Petra and Fawzy as well the same. For me it is going to be different birthday since it is going to be the first time that I will be around 2 others who have the same date of birth. Hope we will have fun :-).
